Prof. Francisco Moo-Mena,Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY), Mexico
Francisco Moo-Mena is a Professor in Computer Science at Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY), in Mérida, Mexico. From the Institut National Polytéchnique de Toulouse, in France, he received a Master Degree in Computer Science and a PhD (graduated with honors), in 2003 and 2007, respectively. He also received another Master Degree in Distributed Systems from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico, in 1997. He received a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Mérida, Mexico, in 1995. In 2002, he spent a summer at INRIA-Rhône Alpes, in France, collaborating as an visiting researcher for developing some communication protocols to use in heterogeneous robotics environments. Between 2005 and 2007, he was an active researcher in the European project Web-Service Diagnosability, Monitoring & Diagnosis (WS-DIAMOND), which was one of the very first projects related to Self-Healing Web Services. Since 2012, he heads the Distributed and Parallel Systems Group at UADY. Dr. Moo-Mena has published many papers in conferences and journals specialized in Distributed and Parallel Systems. His research interests include Autonomic Computing, Self-healing systems, Web services architectures, Semantic Web services, Data Science, Cloud Computing and Parallel Systems.
