Isti Surjandari is Professor and Head of Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia.
She holds a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitas Indonesia and a Ph.D. degree from the Ohio State University. She also holds master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Bandung Institute of Technology and master degree in Economics from the Ohio State University.
Her research interests are in the area of industrial management, quality engineering, statistics analysis and data mining. She has a vast experience in manufacturing and service industries. In the manufacturing area, she has worked on the quality improvement in automotive industry. She has delivered short courses to industry on Quality Control and Design of Experiments. She has also worked in collaboration with Government agency in the process of identifying the need for science and technology in large-scale industry, as well as the transfer and diffusion processes.
Isti is author of Site Specific Management: A Statistical and Dynamic Programming Approach (VDM Verlag, 2009) and Conjoint Analysis: Konsep dan Aplikasi (Trisakti Press, 2010). She has published papers in national and international journals. She is a senior member of American Society for Quality (ASQ), International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), and the Indonesian Association of Industrial Engineering and Management (ISTMI). She also served as Editorial Board for International Journal of Technology.
